東京電力福島第１原発事故を受け、国際原子力機関（ＩＡＥＡ）は２１日までに、将来本格化する同原発の廃炉について、他の原子力先進国の参加も促し国際事業化を目指す方針を固めた。廃炉実現に向け、専門家で構成する国際調査団を４月に日本に派遣する。国際事業化で、今後各国で必要となる廃炉技術の開発にもつなげる。ＩＡＥＡの天野之弥事務局長が２１日、共同通信の取材に明らかにした。
またＩＡＥＡは被災地の除染など福島県との共同事業実施のため、専門家らを今月２７日に福島へ派遣、４月の事業着手を目指して県などとの事前調整もはかる。

●IAEA to propose multilateral efforts to retire Fukushima nuclear reactors
The International Atomic Energy Agency is planning to propose an international undertaking to decommission reactors at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, a challenge that will need to be tackled in full swing in the years to come.

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano told Kyodo News on Thursday, "Safe decommissioning (of the accident-hit nuclear reactors) should be undertaken not just by Japan but should draw on wisdom and the most advanced technologies from around the world."

The U.N. nuclear watchdog is planning to send an international team of experts to Japan in April to put forward the proposal for retiring the reactors.
